Vacuum consumable electrode arc furnace is utilized to melt the metal rods which prepared in advance, in vacuum or under inert gas atmosphere.
The furnace is designed for remelting steel, especially high-grade alloy steel, tungsten, molybdenum, niobium and titanium.
It has advantages of high temperature, rapid melting and effective degassing. The melting metal will not be contaminated by refractory material, which reduce the nonmetallic impurity in the charge.
